Google AI Pro vs Ultra at a glance

The table below compares the US pricing and limits for Google AI Pro ($19.99 a month) and the two Google AI Ultra plans ($99.99 and $199.99 a month). Both Ultra tiers include Gemini 4 Argon and differ in usage limits, Antigravity limits, storage and monthly credits, and Project Genie is only on the $199.99 tier.

How the usage limits work

Usage limits in the Gemini app are compute-based rather than tied to a simple message count, which means prompt complexity, the features you use, and the length of your chat all factor into how fast you burn through your allowance. Your quota refreshes every five hours until you hit a weekly limit, and when you hit the cap, the app falls back to smaller models.

If you run out of quota on Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra, you can buy AI credits to keep working in Antigravity and Flow.

Antigravity and developer quotas

• Google AI Pro gives you a high Antigravity quota that refreshes every five hours until you hit the weekly limit.
• Google AI Ultra gives you the highest quota, refreshed every five hours, along with the highest weekly rate limits.
• Your Antigravity quota tracks the actual work the agent does, not the number of prompts you send.
• Using Gemini 4 Argon inside Antigravity requires Google AI Ultra or Google AI Pro, and on Pro either a paid plan or a trial that came with an eligible premium device.
• Once you pass your included quota, you can spend purchased AI credits at standard Gemini Enterprise consumption pricing, controlled by setting AI Credit Overages to Never or Always.
• Gemini CLI stopped serving Google AI Pro and Ultra accounts on June 18, 2026 and was replaced by Antigravity CLI (see Gemini CLI limits for details).

Which plan to pick

• Pick Google AI Pro ($19.99 a month) if you want daily Gemini app use with a 1 million token context window, Gemini 4 Argon in the app and AI Mode, 5 TB of storage, and $10 a month in Google Cloud credits.
• Pick Google AI Ultra at $99.99 a month if you do heavy Antigravity agent work and need 5x Pro's usage limits, 20 TB of storage, 1,000 Google Colab compute units, and $40 in monthly Cloud credits.
• Pick Google AI Ultra at $199.99 a month if you need 20x Pro's usage limits, 30 TB of storage, 2,000 Colab compute units, $100 in monthly Cloud credits, and access to Project Genie.
• Pick Google AI Plus ($4.99 a month) only if you just want 400 GB of storage and 2x the free plan's limits with Gemini 3.6 Flash, as it doesn't include Gemini 4 Argon.

The Gemini API is billed separately, per token, through Cloud Billing.

Use Pro or Ultra as an API

If you want to call your subscription from code, Plan2API connects the Google account that has your Google AI Pro or Ultra plan and gives you an OpenAI-compatible API key starting with p2a_ for https://api.plan2api.com/v1. Connect your Google account to call POST /v1/chat/completions with models like gemini/gemini-4-argon-high, gemini/gemini-3.8-flash-high, gemini/gemini-3-flash, gemini/gemini-3.5-flash-lite and gemini/gemini-3.1-flash-lite, each supporting a 1,048,576-token context window and text, image, audio and video input.

Every request counts against your Google subscription's own usage limits through Antigravity. Plan2API adds no token quota of its own and never bills per token, so Ultra's higher Antigravity limits give you more API headroom than Pro. If you connect multiple accounts of the same provider, a request that hits a limit moves to the next account before any output is sent, and when every connected account is out of quota, the API returns HTTP 429 with the code subscription_quota_exhausted and a Retry-After header in seconds for the earliest reset.
